Oh my goodness...It has been far too long since my last post. :( I am just realizing that it has been 2 1/2 years, which means I haven't even shared our newest "addition" yet. Our family has gone from 5 to 6, and it has been a joy! Kynslee Marie was born on March 28, 2019 at 3:30 P.M. She was 8 lbs. 10 oz. and honestly I don't remember how long. (oops!) Kynslee is the perfect addition to our family. Kynslee shares a birthday with Colleen, who we bought our farm from.
In the last couple of years, we have slowly made more and more progress. We now have a a front AND back yard with grass, yay!! Phil has removed more dead trees. The kids and Phil have cleaned out and fixed up the chicken coop, which we used for Samantha's graduation reception in May 2019, along with our garage. The plan was to make it a hangout for the kids. Phil finished the fireplace and mantle in time for Christmas this year. It was fun to get to hang our stockings! Some projects in store yet include: Finishing the laundry room and adding a door, making a backsplash in the kitchen, and finishing the basement. Of course there are some finishing touches that still need to be completed also. So, backing up here, there has been a lot of things occur in our lives the past 2 1/2 years. We sadly lost Phil's mom to cancer on July 31, 2018. This has definitely left a void in our lives. Samantha graduated from LN High School in May 2019 and has just completed her first semester of college. Blake is a junior at LN. Connor is an 8th grader at Sandy Creek. He hasn't made the change of schools, like his big brother and sister did. I started teaching 1st grade at LN in Lawrence this Fall. It has been a wonderful change.
