The last month hasn't felt very productive. Our schedules have been packed full of work, ballgames, work, & ballgames! My mom & I got the laundry room painted, and the closet underneath the open staircase. I have not been back to work at the house for a couple of weeks. Phil is getting very close to having the upstair's walls finished. Probably a couple more weeks of him working in the evenings on that, and they will be ready for paint. Last weekend we had an early 16th birthday celebration for Samantha. It was fun to get away for the weekend in Kearney. I have been packing boxes this month and Phil takes them to the farm. Seems like I haven't made much of a dent on the packing, but we're getting there. Yesterday my parents helped us pack and move a bunch of things. Both garages are mostly empty now, and we have full dumpsters! I have reached the point of "just throw it away!" I have discovered things while packing that I didn't even recall having, and probably haven't looked at in the 12 1/2 years we've lived here! Our kitchen cupboards are installed. I really like them! The countertops/sinks are not yet installed. The bathroom vanities are delivered, but waiting on flooring before they can be installed. Our current plan: 1. Finish the upstair's walls 2. I will try to continue stripping the staircase 3. Phil will install bamboo flooring on the main floor. 4. Pick out and order carpet 5. Have carpet laid. Our Clay Center home is actually sold to new owners. We have been extremely fortunate that the new owners have been in no hurry to get in. We are hoping to get completely moved out this week, if possible. Because our new home is not ready for us, we will be moving into a house in Clay Center that is currently vacant, but for sale. It is likely that we will live there for the next 2-3 months. January 9, 2017 photos January 22, 2017 Cupboards being installed by Brent Rempel
